The Grassroots Off-Road Playoffs are the thrilling final three rounds of the Grassroots Off-Road Championship Series, an AMA Featured Series—and this year, it’s more than just bragging rights on the line. Riders will be competing for the ultimate prize in amateur off-road racing: a coveted AMA #1 plate.

Off-road racing in the western United States has long been segmented across multiple respected series—WORCS, NGPC, UMORA, MRAN, D-37, SIDRA, SRA, and multiple others—each cultivating top-tier talent within its own borders. But with little crossover, one question remains unanswered:

Who is the best off-road racer in the West?

The Grassroots Off-Road Playoffs are here to answer that question.

The playoffs bring together top riders from across the West in a three-round championship finale designed to crown one true champion. Each round carries increasing weight through a progressive points scale:

• Round 1: Single Points
• Round 2: 1.5x Points
• Round 3: 2x Points

To level the playing field and honor the efforts of each series, riders will enter the playoffs with seed points earned based on their standings in their home series. Series champions will enter with 30 points, with a scaled system extending to the 20th position. This format ensures multiple contenders will arrive as front-runners—ready to battle through three rounds to decide who truly owns the West.
